Honey Banana Bread With Tahini Butter

Enjoy the comforting sweetness of Honey Banana Bread paired with rich Tahini Butter. This moist and flavourful bread is made with ripe bananas, honey, and a hint of cinnamon, then topped with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. (Makes 1 loaf)

  • 125g Butter
  • 80g Honey
  • 40g Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Bananas
  • 200g (450ml) Cake Flour
  • 2.5ml Salt
  • 5ml Cinnamon
  • 2.5ml Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 5ml Baking Powder
  • 40ml Yoghurt
  • Sesame Seeds

Tahini Butter

  • 60g Butter
  • 60ml Tahini
  • 30ml Honey
  • 30ml Water

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease and line a medium sized bread tin with baking paper.
  • Beat together the butter, honey and brown sugar. Add the eggs one at a time and mix very well. Add the mashed bananas.
  • Sift together the flour, salt, cinnamon, bicarb and baking powder and add to the egg mixture.
  • Add the yoghurt and mix gently to make the batter
  • Spoon into the prepared bread tin, sprinkle with the sesame seeds and place the banana halves on top .
  • Bake for about 45 minutes or until cooked.   Cool

Tahini Butter

Mix everything and drizzle or spread on the banana bread. If you would like to drizzle it – heat it for a few seconds in the microwave oven.
