This recipe is by far my favourite muffin recipe – the crumble makes it extra delicious. Keep the extra crumble in the freezer to use with other muffin recipes (sweet muffins) or for the next time you spoil yourself and your family with these ones. You can use fresh OR frozen raspberries. The grated apple makes it lovely and moist and the lemon zest compliments the berry flavour. We like to eat them warm out of the oven with lots of butter. Try this recipe – you will NEVER want to eat store bought blueberry muffins again!
I got this recipe years ago from a renowned home industry baker. I had taken along my Home Economics students and she very kindly shared all her tips with us. Although this recipe may at first seem complicated, once you’ve made it a couple of times it will become quick and easy. The end result is so good you will never use another milk tart recipe again!
You will LOVE this easy and quick chicken dish! Good enough to entertain with too.. Who would argue – chicken and corn is a match made in heaven! Add crunchy pan fried chorizo slices and you have a winner!
Malva pudding is an iconic South African dessert with a sweet, saucy flavour which we all love! September is Heritage month and we are celebrating where we come from and reflecting on the things that makes us South Africans! I created this recipe in celebration of our food heritage – now you don’t have to wait for dessert to enjoy this treat – you can have it for morning and afternoon tea AND dessert (if there is any left!). The pears add a lovely texture and tartness to the tea loaf. Serve it with lots of whipped cream
One of my favourite combo’s ever: smoked trout, strawberries, avocados and grapefruit – drizzled with an Asian inspired dressing. This salad is perfect to serve as a refreshing starter of as a main course. Super healthy and delicious!
Special weekend spoil for the family – get them to help bake these very easy and delicious cupcakes. First time that I make a yoghurt frosting for cupcakes! The new NutriDay full cream strawberry yoghurt worked perfectly.
What a perfect combo – chocolate and coconut – and to make it even better – MERINGUE!
These beauties take a bit of time and effort but are SO worth it! Absolutely delicious and the biggest treat.
We love to sit at a beautifully set table for dinner – even on weekdays – but this dish served in super-sized bowls just asks to be eaten while curled up in front of the TV, watching a movie! AND even better so in this cold wether…
