AIR FRYER PIZZA

DOUGH

250 g   Greek style yoghurt (250 ml

150 g   self-raising flour (250 ml)

            Pinch of salt

            Olive oil for brushing

OR USE TWO STORE BOUGHT NAAN BREADS, brushed lightly with olive oil on both sides

TOPPING

100 g   tomato puree

30 ml   tomato sauce

5 ml     dried oregano or mixed Italian herbs

            Salt and pepper

1          chicken breast, cooked, chopped or cut into strips and seasoned OR use left over chicken OR sliced uncooked mushrooms

100 g   grated mozzarella cheese

60 g     grated strong cheddar cheese

6          drained chopped pepperdews

½         thinly sliced red onion

METHOD:

  • TO MAKE THE DOUGH: Combine the self-raising flour, salt and the yoghurt. Mix well and gently knead to make the dough.  Preferably rest the dough for 30 minutes (if possible).  Divide dough in 4, roll and stretch to make an oval flatbread.  Brush with oil and sprinkle top with little salt.  Air fry for 6 minutes at 200 °C OR use the store bought Naan breads and just brush with oil on both sides
  • TO MAKE TOMATO SAUCE: Combine the tomato puree, tomato sauce, oregano and season with salt and pepper.
  • TO ASSEMBLE PIZZA:
  • Spread about 30 ml of the tomato sauce on each pizza base or Naan bread,. Top with half of the cheese and then add the chicken (or mushrooms), pepperdew and onion. Add the rest of the cheese and air fry for 7 minutes at 200°C
  • Eat warm
