








CINNABUNS
750 ml flour
5 ml salt
10 ml dried yeast (1 X10g packet)
60 ml sugar
180 ml milk
1 egg
1 egg yolk
60 g melted butter
METHOD:
- Combine flour, salt and yeast – mix well
- In a small saucepan – heat milk to lukewarm (NOT HOT) and add the melted butter, sugar, egg and yolk,beat well.
- Add liquids to dry ingredients, mix to combine and knead for about 10 minutes until soft pliable dough is formed
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover and proof in awarm spot until doubled in size
- Knock down and roll out to about 40cmX22cm
FILLING:
60 g melted butter
120 ml brown sugar
10 ml cinnamon
- Brush dough rectangle with melted butter, sprinkle over the cinnamon sugar and roll up tightly.Fold in the seam and make sure it will not open up
- Cut into 2 cm rounds, place on a greased, lined baking tray, slightly apart , cover and proof for about 15 minutes or until almost doubled in size.
- Bake in a preheated oven (180C) for about 25 minutes
- Drizzle with cream cheese frosting
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: Beat together 120 g cream cheese, 45 g soft butter and 200
ml icing sugar plus ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
